Here is a list of local events happening in June 2018:
Miami County Park District’s Corn Maze will be open to the public as part of the Fall Farm Fest on October 13 & 14 at Lost Creek Reserve, 2385 E. St. Rt. 41 east of Troy. Experience the adventure as you navigate the twists and turns of this six-acre corn maze sponsored by the Miami County Farm Bureau. Admission is $5 donation for adults ages 12 and up, $3 fee for children ages 5 to 11 and kids under 4 are free. The Corn Maze will also be open during Halloween Happening on October 27 from 7-9 p.m.
Guests of all ages are invited to drop by and experience a crisp, fall night hike around the historic Knoop homestead aglow with jack-o’-lanterns. Be sure to stop by the barn at the end of the hike to enjoy a fall treat compliments of the VIPs. Don’t forget there will be trunk-or-treat too and the corn maze will also be open from 4 to 9 p.m. Make sure to bring a flashlight. Drop-ins are welcome at Lost Creek Reserve.
The Piqua Football Moms Club will host their annual 5K run/walk at 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at Alexander Stadium.
The “Saturday Night Lights 5K” will finish on the 50-yard line of Purk Field and participants can register at www.cantstoprunning.
Com. The race is $25 and preregistration is encouraged through Sept. 25, to guarantee a t-shirt.
Race-day registration begins at 7 p.m.
This is an event for everyone.
Piqua football players — past and present, moms, dads, grandparents, siblings, athletic sponsors, walkers, or runners. Strollers are welcome.
