ASKED TO SEARCH FOR 16 ARCHITECTURAL FEATURES IN THE PIQUA CALDWELL

HISTORIC DISTRICT AND WRITE DOWN THE ADDRESS FOR EACH ONE

FOUND…THOSE WHO FIND ALL 16 FEATURES WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR A DRAWING

OF SEVERAL GIFT CARDS.

OHIO’S HOSPICE OF MIAMI COUNTY NAMED CAREY SHORT EXECUTIVE

DIRECTOR OF OHIO’S HOSPICE OF MIAMI COUNTY. SHE BRINGS 18 YEARS OF HOSPICE AND HEALTHCARE EXPERIENCE TO THE ORGANIZATION. SHORT ALSO

IS LEADING IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW FREE-STANDING HOSPICE

HOUSE, LOCATED IN TROY.


Shelby County Property to be Demolished

THE SHELBY COUNTY LAND BANK REPORTS THE PROPERTY AT 632 SECOND

AVENUE IN SIDNEY SHOULD BE DEMOLISHED IN ABOUT A WEEK. DIRECTOR

DOUG AHLERS SAY THEY’VE ALSO ACQUIRED A PROPERTY THAT’S IN A STATE OF

DISREPAIR AT 310 ENTERPRISE AVENUE IN SIDNEY AND WILL LIKELY BE

DEMOLISHED AS WELL. A NUMBER OF OTHER PROPERTIES ALSO ARE IN THE

PROCESS OF FORECLOSURE.


New Shelby County COVID Cases

THREE NEW COVID-19 CASES WERE REPORTED WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON BY

THE SIDNEY-SHELBY COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT…THE COUNTY’S TOTAL

POSITIVE CASES IS NOW 72. THESE NEW CASES INVOLVE A MAN IN HIS 40S, A

WOMAN IN HER 60S AND A BOY BETWEEN THE AGES OF 10-19.


Troy Man Faces Charges After Argument

A TROY MAN IS FACING CHARGES AFTER HE WAS ACCUSED OF THROWING A

FLOWER POT AT A MAN DURING AN ARGUMENT IN TROY OVER THE

WEEKEND. ACCORDING TO A POLICE REPORT 34-YEAR OLD ANDREW WISE IS

ALLEGED TO HAVE THROWN THE POT AT SOMEONE STANDING ON THE PORCH

OF THE RESIDENCE ON PEARSON COURT..

THE TROY-HAYNER CULTURAL CENTER HAS CANCELED THE 2020 PORCHFEST

A MOTORCYCLE CRASH IN DARKE COUNTY SENT A MOTORCYCLIST TO WAYNE

HEALTHCARE IN GREENVILLE. SHERIFF’S DEPUTIES SAY 31-YEAR OLD ROBERT

COLLINS OF ENGLEWOOD LOST CONTROL OF THE MOTORCYCLE AND RAN OFF GETTYSBURG-WEBSTER ROAD. COLLINS WAS CITED FOR FAILURE TO CONTROL

AND OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE WHILE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF

ALCOHOL.
